LSLC was founded by solicitor Lynda
Slavinskis in 2004. From humble beginnings in the spare room
of her home with no clients, Lynda has grown her firm into a
thriving business with a database of over 500 happy and very loyal
clients. LSLC outgrew the spare room in a matter of months
and we have been at our Ashburton offices ever
since.
Lynda has been supported by Hilda Felices
since 2008 and in 2011 welcomed Anneliese Brown to the fold as a
trainee solicitor.
Who is Lynda
Slavinskis?
Lynda is an outgoing, creative and intuitive
lawyer with commerical savvy. An old Macrob girl, Lynda graduated
with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and Bachelor of Laws from Monash
University in 1997. After completing her articles in a
criminal and family law firm, Lynda realised that her idealistic
visions of being an advocate who could change the world were
unrealistic and she ran away from private practice to the corporate
world.
Lynda honed her legal skills and business
brain as an in-house solicitor with Sussan Corporation and
Tattersall’s. That big business experience has been crucial to
LSLC's success and Lynda's holistic approach to business advice.
She is equally comfortable providing an opinion on branding
or how to negotiate the best commercial deal as she is tearing
apart and advising on a contract. Lynda also gained
invaluable commercial experience in challenging non legal roles in
publishing and public relations and utilises that experience in
creative ways to help SME's grow to their full potential.
Lynda believes SMEs should have priority
access to a lawyer who understands them and their business and who
can help them grow. Her vision in establishing LSLC is to
empower small business owners by educating them about their rights
and obligations and by helping them establish processes which
minimise legal risk.
Lynda has particular niche expertise in SME
export/import, franchising and marketing. She is
approachable, down to earth and has a knack for making anyone feel
comfortable.
Lynda is committed to community education
and is a popular and inspiring speaker at Austrade Export Seminars,
Business Networks, Government events and
conferences.
Lynda was for 5 years the only lawyer
on the Victorian Government’s Small Business Advisory Council which
advised the small business minister .
Lynda was also a Victorian Finalist in
the Telstra Business Woman’s Awards 2006 and was pipped at the post
by the ultimate national winner. The judging panel recognised
Lynda's passion for business, her ability to add spark to an
industry that has traditionally been very dry, her management
skills and her ability to balance work and
life.
Lynda is married to Peter and her most
amazing achievement is being mum to Elijah, 3. Lynda is a
singer, loves to swim and attending Step Into Life outdoor group
training sessions. Lynda is also a tragic Richmond supporter,
speaks fluent French and her favourite places in the world are
Paris and Broome. Her ambitions are to run 5kms in less than 30
minutes and to be on "the facebook" by the end of
2011!
